Bob
Schrader has over twenty years legal experience specializing in
international trade and
transactions, maritime and shipping law, real estate, travel and
tourism law, immigration, US Customs, US export control, off-shore
corporations and trusts, contracts, employment, federal and state
administrative law. Bob also has 14 years experience as an
international law professor and trainer, plus over 10 years experience
as a small business owner in the hospitality/restaurant industry
While General Counsel and VP Legal and Regulatory
Affairs of Scotia Prince Cruises Limited Bob was Chief Legal Officer
responsible for all legal, lobbying
and regulatory compliance for international cruise ferry operating
between US - Canada and Florida - Mexico including, inter alia: government
relations and compliance in all countries of operation related to
Homeland Security, customs, maritime, marine terminal operations and
development, HR/employment, confidentiality and immigration law;
negotiation of complex US and Canadian
contracts and commercial leases in the US and Canada; negotiating,
mediating and arbitrating numerous state and international matters
related to contract, real estate / leasing, employment, international
law, maritime law, vessel charters, Jones Act, P&I coverage and
trademark licensing and toxic mold..
As Vice President Government Affairs &
General Counsel
of Nationwide Labor Management, Bob was responsible for all legal
functions of nationwide recruiter for
non-union contractors. He handled labor, employment and immigration
matters for construction
industry clients.
He also negotiated and lobbied with Department of Labor at cabinet
level to remedy
discrepancies between regional DOL processing of labor certifications
and union commenting.
As Of Counsel to Ruden, McClosky,
Smith, Schuster & Russell, PA, Bob was responsible for
international trade and transactions, maritime,Customs, export control
and immigration matters.
Bob provided legal advice to Fortune 50 and 500 companies on export
controls, customs, international trade, immigration and
employment matters, including the negotiation of contracts related to
international trade, import and distribution, employment and
confidentiality agreements, private yacht crewing and operations.
As a Partner at Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, PA, Bob handled US
corporate, international and domestic
transactions, employment, confidentiality and non-disclosure
agreements, Customs bonded facilities, foreign-trade zones, export
controls, shipping and maritime. He was also responsible for the
firms real estate transactions, including title work through Attorney's
Title.
